Stop at Trübsee on your way up or down the mountain. At 1,800 meters, this middle station trades the freezing summit winds for gentle hiking trails and family play areas.
You can walk around the lake in summer or slide down snow trails at the Glacier Park. It breaks up the cable car trip and gives kids a place to burn off energy.

This alpine lake is ideal for a relaxed walk or a summer rowing boat ride. The circular trail takes about an hour and is fully accessible for pushchairs. You will find several fire pits along the route. It makes a great spot for a picnic before heading higher up the mountain.

Grab a snow tube or a zipfelbob to slide down the summer snow trails. The snow toys are completely free to use. However, you must take the paid Ice Flyer chairlift (CHF 12) to reach this specific park area.

This play area and adventure trail revolves around the legendary smuggler Engelbert. It is designed specifically for families and young children. The trail is open from late May to October. Stop here on your way back down to let kids run off extra energy.
